3. Menanyakan reference/kata ganti

- The word “here”/”there” in the text refers to……

4. Menanyakan pertanyaan informasi tersurat

- Menayakan pertanyaan dengan menggunakan kata tanya (WH question) yang

   jawabannya bisa ditemukan didalam text.

       - What must the receiver do after reading the letter?

       - Where does the sender live?

- Who sent the letter?

- The addresser of the letter is……

- Who is the receiver of the text?

- Who is the addressee?

5. Menanyakan pertanyaan informasi tersirat

 - Menayakan pertanyaan dengan menggunakan kata tanya (WH question)       

    yang jawabannya TIDAK bisa ditemukan di dalam text, sehingga kita harus

   menyimpulkan sendiri.

- When does the addressee receive the letter?

- What is the relationship between the addresser and the addressee?

       - What must the receiver do after reading the letter?

       - Where does the sender live?

- Who sent the letter?

- The addresser of the letter is……

- Who is the receiver of the text?

- Who is the addressee?

(Catatan: Pertanyaan-pertanyaan tersebut bisa muncul sebagai pertanyaan informasi tersurat maupun tersirat, tergantung konteks kalimat dalam surat tersebut)

                         

            * Kata “tomorrow” di dalam surat berarti satu hari setelah tanggal  surat. 

* Kata “yesterday” di dalam surat bearati satu hari sebelum tanggal  penulisan surat. Demikian juga kata lain yang berhubungan dengan  waktu, seperti “two weeks ago’, “two weeks later” dan sebagainya  supaya dicermati dan dihitung dari tanggal penulisan surat.
